We help middle income Africans access pharmacies, doctors and nurses digitally at affordable prices.
There are ~300 million middle income people in Africa who access healthcare out-of-pocket (i.e. they pay to see health professionals in their private capacity and not via government aid or insurance). These people experience very costly and inefficient health journeys due to (1) high doctor access costs, (2) lost income due to time lost seeking care and (3) lack of knowledge about what they really need to cost-effectively solve their health problems.
We have created a network of doctors, nurses and pharmacies that patients based in underserved middle income areas can access digitally via our platform. Our platform enables them to cost effectively complete 3 jobs: 1. Get pharmacy health advice remotely from anywhere (without travel cost). 2. Book in virtual and physical (via house-call) consultations with doctors. 3. Order medication for delivery to their door (work or home) from one of our partner pharmacies.
We collectively have over 20 years experience building products and launching services for the African healthcare and financial services sectors. But, more importantly we have a common deep passion about the problem we are trying to solve (especially having experienced the problems personally) and have been discussing working on a startup together for years.
