LEIA is a postpartum health tracker helping women have a happier and healthier entry into motherhood
140 million women give birth globally each year. 90% of them will experience physical and psychological postpartum difficulties during their first year after childbirth. Due to low access to experts, lack of personalized information and the stigma surrounding this area, millions of women are not getting the postpartum support they need and deserve. Affecting not only them but their families as well.
By building the world’s first postpartum health tracker. Daily check-ins will enable personalized content from a broad range of experts giving new mothers data driven insights about their physical and mental health and the tools to change it for the better. The user will be able to share her insights with her midwife for a more personalized care experience and by building in screening models for postnatal depression and other complications we can identify women at risk at a much earlier stage
Sandra and Astrid have both experienced the problem firsthand when giving birth covering both physical birth injuries and mental health. Together with Jens the team has extensive experience in breaking new ground and scaling up similar services and products to new international markets from companies such as Klarna, CNN, Natural Cycles and KRY.
