Providing digital, low-interest financing and decentralized credit to smallholder farmers.
60% of working sub-Saharan Africans are smallholder farmers and 97% of them lack access to the financial services they need to maximize their land's productivity. Thus, they cannot increase their incomes nor close the growing $145B+ beverage & food consumption gap being created by the continent's growing, urban middle class.
Emerging Impact's Umoja Product Suite provides smallholder farmers with accessible digital wallets that can access decentralized financing and savings on any phone or NFC card. Additionally, the product suite provides input agro-dealers the tools to disburse and accept digital store credit funded by global debt investors with maximal simplicity. Lastly, the product suite provides emerging market fintechs with an API to more easily build blockchain based products.
